About Us

Stowmarket Golf Centre is a family run project aimed at providing local people of all ages with affordable access to golf. Our approach is to remove the stuffiness that comes with golf and give a relaxed and fun environment to enjoy the game of golf.

Golf is a healthy and challenging sport that can be played for fun or competitively, our weekly groups offer a great way to meet new people and improve your play.

Our ethos to provide ‘golf for all’ has seen us deliver golf in to all areas of the local community. Duncan has won national awards for his coaching and for projects with groups like Optua, Girls Allowed, Get In To Golf, Golf Ability, Break 80, working with our local pupil referral unit and delivering golf in to 40 local primary, middle and high schools.

Our work links us with the Suffolk Golf Union, The Golf Foundation, Sport England, Suffolk Golf Partnership, the School Sport Partnership and Mid Suffolk District Council. We access funding through ‘Friends of Skylarks’ to make improvements to the course for you all to enjoy.

We work hard to provide for the local wildlife too, we have a very successful barn owl project and we aim to provide a winter feeding program to the birds that call the Golf Centre home.
